A monthly music letter that helps families slow down, listen deeply, and connect through music—no instruments required.

Music with Melody is a monthly music subscription for families—a simple, joyful way to explore music together at home!

Each month, you’ll get a two-page letter in the mail featuring one carefully chosen song, along with a bit of story, a listening guide or sheet music, and a few fun, hands-on activities. Some of the activities are music theory-based, some are writing prompts, and some are just about tuning in and noticing how the music speaks to you!

Why We Created Music with Melody

Marc and I believe that music education at home doesn’t need to be complicated or intimidating. You shouldn’t need a masters in music, a perfect homeschool setup, or private lessons to help your kids learn to love and appreciate music. Music is for everyone! We started Music with Melody because we wanted to give families a way to:

  • Introduce basic music theory in a relaxed, creative way.

  • Explore meaningful songs from all over the world, from classical and pop, to jazz and global styles.

  • Spark curiosity about music history, composers, and instruments.

  • Get comfortable with sheet music! We believe kids should feel confident holding sheet music in their hands, and learning to read it over time.

And maybe—just maybe—inspire the next musician. :)

Lessons in the Mail

We’re proud to offer Music with Melody the old-fashioned way — snail mail! 🐌 In a world filled with screens and streaming apps, we wanted to create a music program with lessons you can hold in your hands.

We hope that each letter provides families a chance to slow down. To gather around and play a song more than once. We hope that everyone really listens — maybe like people used to when spinning a favorite record on repeat. Our lessons are meant to create a moment at home where kids (and grownups!) connect through rhythm, movement, listening, and imagination.

And let’s be honest: there’s something a little magical about opening the mailbox and finding a letter with a surprise song inside.

What’s Inside Each Letter?

Each month’s envelope includes:

  • A featured song (with a QR code to scan and listen) accomanied by a listening guide or sheet music.

  • A short “Behind the Melody” section that explains the artist or story.

  • Two pages of activities that explore music games, writing prompts, and listening exercises.

You can use the letter in 15–30 minutes and stretch it over the week as part of your homeschool music schedule, or just use it as a fun weekend or after-school activity!
